Catherine S. Poirier

Catherine S. Poirier, 44, of Upton, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Scott A. Poirier.
Born in Worcester, she is the daughter of Susan M. (Blanchard) Pomposelli of Upton and the late Vincent J. Pomposelli.
Cathy was raised and educated in Whitinsville and graduated with honors from the University of Rhode Island School of Nursing.
She was employed as a registered nurse at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. Cathy was a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, enjoyed volunteering in her children's classrooms and was a dedicated mother.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her two children, Robert H. Poirier and Mary F. Poirier both of Upton; two brothers, James R. Pomposelli of Chicago and Michael M. Pomposelli and his wife, Mary, of Needham and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 10, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, Inc., 45 Main St., Upton, are Tuesday, January 9, from 5 to 8 P.M.
