Edith T. Valliere

It is with great sadness that the family of Edith Valliere announces her passing, on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at the age of 89 years. Edith will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marcella Shea and her husband Ed. Edith will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Michelle and Glen and his wife Nicole, her four great grandchildren Colin, Madeleine, Avery, and London, and her sister Flossie Leonard. Edith was predeceased by her husband Leonard Valliere and sister Claire.

Edith had a servant’s heart. She always looked for opportunities to share kindness and compassion with others in tangible ways. She’d bake cookies and brownies for neighbors at Milhaus; knit blankets, hats, and mittens for family, friends and those in need; or take time to talk and laugh with friends at the YMCA where she was an avid swimmer. Edith was a light to her family and her community. She will be deeply missed.

A Funeral Mass in memory of Edith will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11 A.M., at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish - 151 Mendon St., Upton, MA 01568, with Father Larry Brault officiating.  Burial will take privately at Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville at a later date.
