UPTON - Maria H. (Baldini) Hicklin, 45, of Upton, died Tuesday evening, September 20, 2005, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Joseph F. Hicklin and a registered nurse.
Mrs. Hicklin was born in Natick, a daughter of Joseph Q. Baldini, Jr. of Shrewsbury and the late Helena (Madden) Baldini. A 1977 graduate of Natick High School, she earned a BS in nursing from the University of Alaska - Anchorage and worked as a school nurse for the Worcester Public Schools. She loved to travel and had spent a year residing in France. She lived in Upton for 15 years, was devoted to her family, enjoyed gardening, and was an active member of the United Parish of Upton.
In addition to her husband of 19 years and her father, she leaves two children, Mark and Cynthia Hicklin of Upton; seven siblings, Theresa Valente, James Baldini, Christopher Baldini, and Lauren Wilde, all of Milford; Joseph Baldini III of Snohomish, WA; Robert Baldini of Morgan Hill, CA; and Kate Baldini of Manchester, CT; four aunts, Patricia Azcarate of Auburn, CA, Catherine Fitzgibbons of Morgan Hill, CA, Joan Rigueiro of Wayland, and Dorothy McGhee of Auburn; an uncle, Thomas Madden of Natick; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Flowers are acceptable, but the family requests no lilies, please.

Funeral services Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the United Parish Church, Central Square, Upton, with the Rev. Jan Gregory-Charpentier, pastor, officiating.
Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Natick.
