Marion C. Bjork

Marion “M’ie” C. Bjork, 83, a longtime Upton resident and former North Grafton resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 11, 2019, at The Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL.

Born in Worcester, on July 29, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Arthur A. and Fannie E. (Clifford) Arenburg.  She was raised and educated in Grafton and was a graduate of Grafton High School Class of 1953. 

M’ie was employed by GE and prior to her retirement she was employed as a telephone operator for New England Telephone Company.

M’ie was one of the founding charter members of The Upton Bloomer Girls.  She was also a member of the Upton Bowling & Lassie Leagues. She was well traveled, an avid reader, loved spending her summers on East Beach in Westport MA and winters by the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. She cherished time spent with her loving family, friends, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her four children, Donna A. Ramsey of Largo, FL, Denise E. Francis of East Douglas, Donald R. Ramsey, Jr. and his wife Debra, of Grafton, and Sheila J. Wilson of Upton and former husband Norris F. Bjork Jr. of Nokomis, FL,; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Priscilla Ekman of Sutton and Austin “Butch” Arenburg of Westport, MA and Key West, FL.

She is predeceased by her late husband Donald Richard Ramsey, Sr. and son-in-law, Charles W. Francis, Jr.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 AM, on Saturday, March 2, in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, Inc. 45 Main Street, Upton.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 1, from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
