Altha (Wallace) Duncan

August 9, 1911 — March 3, 2008

Altha (Wallace) Duncan, 96, died peacefully at her home in Whitcomb House of Milford on Monday, March 3, 2008. She was the widow of the Rev. Paul C. Duncan, who died more than 30 years ago after 43 years of marriage.

Mrs. Duncan was born in Pasadena, CA, the daughter of the late Herbert and Cora (Corder) Wallace. She spent her early life in Kentucky and had also lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and then in Florida for 30 years before moving to Milford in December. She was proud of her American Indian heritage and was enrolled in the Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee. She loved square dancing.

She leaves one son, Clarence W. Duncan, and her daughter-in-law, Priscilla Cogan, of Upton; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Service Details

At her request, there will be no funeral services.
