Angela E. Fleming, 77, a longtime Mendon resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William F. “Bill” Fleming.
Born in Old Harlow, Essex, England, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Barbara (Griggs) Lawrence. At the age of nine, Angela immigrated to the United States with her family and eventually settled in Pennsylvania. At the age of fourteen her family relocated to Sudbury Massachusetts where she finished her education and married William. Together they built a life and family. In 1989, they moved to Mendon, Massachusetts, where they resided until 2026.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Fleming held various administrative positions with the City of Marlborough and later with the Town of Mendon.
Angela enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and camping at Cold Springs Camp in Barre, Massachusetts. She especially cherished the time she spent with her family, friends, and beloved dogs.
In addition to her husband, Bill, of Mendon, she is survived by her two sons, Chris Fleming and his wife, Leanne, and their two children Alison and Logan of Uxbridge, and Scott Fleming and his daughter Peyton of Hopkinton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald Lawrence.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Angela's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 1, in St Mary’s Cemetery, 88 Granite Street Uxbridge. A collation luncheon to follow will be announced at the conclusion of the service.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be sent to the Blackstone Regional Animal Shelter, 14 Chestnut Street, Blackstone, MA 01504.
