Barbara A. Cahill

Cahill, Barbara, 73, of Sagamore Beach, MA and Northbridge, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018, after a courageous eleven-year battle with cancer.  Barbara is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Barry Cahill, and her children, Kristen Anne Cahill, NP and Gregory Barry Cahill.  Barbara was the sister of the late Dr. James Milligan and sister-in-law of the late Dr. Karen Blank and aunt to Ned Milligan of New York.  Barbara was born on August 26, 1945 in Jamaica Plain, MA to James and Catherine (Ryan) Milligan.  She graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain and attended Cardinal Cushing College.  She began her career working for the New England Telephone Company and later for Verizon.  Barbara was an advocate for all children to pursue their goals.  She served as the Chair of the Special Needs Advisor Board for Worcester County.  Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and all hospital staff at the Dana Farber Cancer Center in Milford, MA for their support and dedication for over a decade.  Barbara will be greatly missed by her family and all those that knew her kind spirit.  A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held privately at her family’s home in Northbridge, MA on a later date.
