Services have been announced for Bernice below.

Bernice Mae Fairhurst, 72, of Willow Springs, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Born in Milford, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Stanley Chapin.

Bernice worked for many years at Kmart and TJ Maxx, where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly spirit.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and a variety of crafts. Bernice especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also looked forward each year to attending NASCAR events with her daughter.

Bernice is survived by her husband John Fairhurst and daughter, Diane Remillard and her husband James; her sons, Richard Randall and his wife Julie, and Robert Randall; her sister, Kathy Porter; her twin brother, Stanley Chapin and his wife Anu; and her sister, Tracy and her husband Ross and step sons John Fairhurst and James Fairhurst ,his wife Kristen

She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren: Johnny, Dana, Jason, Deanna, Erin, Jake, Sammy, John, Hailey, Samantha, Katelyn, and Hayden; and three great-grandchildren: Parker, Dakota, and Payton. And many Nieces and Nephews

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Patrick Chapin.

A celebration of life will be held from 12 Noon to 4 P.M. on Saturday, May 9, at the Uxbridge VFW, 16 Cross Street, Uxbridge.
