Claire I. (Patrick) Givani, 88, of Upton, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Angelo R. "Reno" Givani, who died in 1999.
Mrs. Givani was born in Bellingham, a daughter of the late Ray and Anna (Boivin) Patrick. She was a graduate of Bellingham High School and the former Hill College. She worked as a seamstress in the Upton hat industry and then at Fenwal in Ashland for several years. A member of the Upton Grange and a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, she also delivered the Milford Daily News for over 30 years.
She leaves two daughters, Claire ODell of Milford and Barbara Givani of Upton; six sons, Joseph of Upton, Daniel of Lady Lakes, FL, Robert of E. Providence, RI, Richard of Oxford, Ernest of Tacoma, WA, and Francis of Spencer; a sister, Pauline Pleau of Cape Cod; three brothers, Henry Patrick of FL, Carlton Patrick of Bellingham, and Maurice Patrick of Salem, NY; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Maurice Givani and the sister of the late Anna Williams and Louis and Merle Patrick.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 7, at noon
in Lakeview Cemetery, North Main Street, Upton.
Calling hours at the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton,
are Friday from 10 am to noon, immediately preceding the service.
