Dorothy M. Mele Boulay

Dorothy M. (Pascoe) Mele Boulay, 91, of Hopedale and formerly of Milford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough. She was the beloved wife of the late Harvey P. Boulay, who passed away in 2022, and her first husband, James V. Mele, who passed away in 1994.

Born in Milford, she was a daughter of the late James Sr. and Evelyn (Sarah) Pascoe. She was raised and educated in Milford and was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford.

She worked as a CNA in the maternity ward at Milford Hospital before becoming a devoted stay-at-home mother.

Dorothy enjoyed attending parties and social events at the Bellingham Senior Center and cherished spending time with her family and friends. She also took great joy in the companionship of her beloved dog, Chico, and her late dogs, Bella and Lacie.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Giroux of Hopedale, and her partner, Bruce Skinner; her nephew, Kenneth Hjulstrom of Marlboro, CT; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her husbands, James and Harvey, Dorothy was predeceased by her siblings, Evelyn Hjulstrom, James Pascoe, Jr., Janet Pitchette, and Eleanor Pascoe.

All are welcome to attend her funeral on Friday, October 16, at 8:45 A.M. from Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 East Main Street, Milford. Burial will follow at Vernon Grove Cemetery in Milford.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 15, in the funeral home.
