Dwayne L. Barney

Dwayne L. Barney, 67, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at his home.

Born in St. Albans, Vermont, he was a son of the late Ralph and Barbara (Bocash) Barney. He was raised and educated in Millbury and Grafton.

Prior to his retirement, Dwayne worked for many years as a foreman with Aggregate Industries.

He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Dwayne is predeceased by his daughter, Nicole Ritchie, and is survived by his daughter, Rachael Saniuk of Worcester; his beloved grandchildren, Daemynd, Callie, Liana, and Alex; his sisters, Lisa Barney and her partner, Bill Bukowski, of Shrewsbury, and Julie Barney and her partner, James Costa, of Oxford; his longtime companion, Constance “Connie” Saniuk; and several nieces and nephews.

He is also predeceased by his brothers, James and David Barney.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at Maplewood Cemetery, Maple Avenue, Upton.
