Janet C. Conner

January 19, 1932 — July 25, 2025

HINGHAM

Janet Conner, 93, of Hingham, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at her home at Linden Ponds, Senior Care Living, in Hingham. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Don (Deceased 2019) She was the loving mother to her four children: Bob Conner of Hyannis, MA, Nancy Campbell and her husband Jack of Upton, MA, Cathy Cameron and her husband Rick of Hopkinton, MA, and David Conner of Seattle, WA. She was the cherished grandmother of Christine Brown and her husband Eric, Scott Campbell and his wife Kelsey, Allison and Lauren Cameron. She was the proud great-grandmother to Isla Campbell Brown and Cooper William Campbell.

Born in Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Clopeck, and was raised and educated in Framingham, MA. She graduated from Framingham High School, went to University of New Hampshire, and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.

She was a stay at home mom while she raised her four kids. Her incredible organizational skills were put to the test as she orchestrated six moves in fifteen years when Don was transferred around the country.

Once settled in Wellesley, MA, Janet and Don were very active with the Newcomers Club and the Wellesley Congregational Church. Through the church, they participated in many outreach programs including Habitat for Humanity, visiting prisoners at MCI Norfolk, organizing clothes drives for the homeless in Boston, as well as several other charitable causes. She and Don spent years traveling the world exploring the local culture and people, making many friends along the way. They also spent years exploring the United States, and drove across the country (without a GPS or cell phone) three times for three months each in their camping trailer. Other favorite travel destinations were St. John, USVI, Bar Harbor, ME, Kitty Hawk, NC, and Naples, FL, to name a few.

Janet will be remembered for her friendliness, generosity, attention to detail, and helpful nature. She loved playing bridge, watching sports on TV, visiting with family and friends, and always holding hands with Don.

Her family is grateful for the amazing love and care she received over the last ten years from her Senior Care Manager, Maura Bailey, and the other incredible caregivers we affectionately call Team Janet.
