Marion L. (Weinert) Valdivia

Marion L. (Weinert) Valdivia, 80, of Millville and formerly of Upton, died Monday, January 3, 2011 after an illness. She was the widow of Mauro Valdivia.
Mrs. Valdivia was born in Northbridge, the daughter of the late Ernst and Louise (Kopisch) Weinert. She earned a bachelor's degree at Warren Wilson College and a master's degree in education from Worcester State College. She worked at Fenwal in Ashland for many years until retiring in 1993.
She leaves three daughters, Susan Bates and Karen Valdivia, both of Millville, and Julie Renk and her husband Gregory of Upton; two sons, Steven Valdivia of Millville and Kurt Valdivia of North Carolina; a brother, Karl Weinert of Watertown; and nine grandsons, Michael, John, Steven, Andrew, Raymond, Gregory, Jonathan, Richard, and Thomas.
