Mary G. Gallant

Mary G. “Billie” Gallant, 94, of Upton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the AdviniaCare of Northbridge after a brief illness.

Born in Somerville, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (McFaun) Kelley, and was raised and educated in Lexington.

Prior to retirement, she was employed at the former New England Telephone Company, and retired after 25 years of service.

After retirement, she continued her love of crafting, quilting, knitting, and painting.  She also traveled to Alaska, Paris, and many summer trips to Maine.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gallant of Upton, and Michele Lutz of Chelmsford, and her sister Dorothy (Kelley) Yancey of S. Yarmouth.  She is predeceased by her brother, William Kelley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday, May 23, at 11 AM, from the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St. Upton, followed by a funeral Mass at 12 Noon, in St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 151 Mendon St. Upton.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.
