Russell W. Dearborn, 86, formerly of Bellingham, died early Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in MidCoast Senior Health Center in Brunswick, ME after a long illness. His wife of 45 years, Claire (Martin) Dearborn, died in 1997.
Russell was born in Brookline, a son of the late Clyde W. and Alice M. (Wilkes) Dearborn. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and had worked as a machinist for Barnes & Jones in Newton before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and moved from Bellingham to Maine in 2003.
He leaves five children, Alan Dearborn and his wife Jean of Manchester, ME, June Hanlon and her husband Michael of Medway, Donald Dearborn and his wife Kimberly of Bellingham, Diane Dearborn of Uxbridge, and Shirley Nichols and her husband Douglas of Uxbridge; one brother, Clayton Dearborn of Cambridge; two sisters, Barbara Harvey of Malden and Carol Jones of Harwinton, CT; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Harold Dearborn and Shirley Allen.
Service Details
Following cremation, graveside services with military honors will be held
in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton at the convenience of the family.
