Russell T. Wojdag, 55, of Sarasota, FL, and formerly of Walpole and Upton, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 surrounded by loving family and friends at Tidewell Hospice in Ellenton, FL. He was a talented musician and carpenter who worked at The Pines of Sarasota. He previously worked at Marie Selby Gardens in Sarasota for 15 years.
Russ was born and raised in Walpole, the son of Edwin J. Wojdag of Lady Lake, FL and the late Mary Aletta Connolly. He lived in Upton before moving to Sarasota about 20 years ago. He was an Army veteran who completed track vehicle training and was awarded the M-16 Rifle Expert.
In addition to his father and stepmother Janet of FL; he is survived by his brothers, Edwin E. Wojdag and his wife Diane of Upton, David Wojdag of Upton, John Wojdag and his wife Alanna of Bellingham, and Brian Wojdag of Sarasota; and his sister, Mary Ellen Nowe of Lee. He was the beloved uncle and grand-uncle to 16 nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply.

Service Details
A memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday, December 29, at 1 p.m.
in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton.
