Steven P. Valcour, 51, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Steve was born on January 5, 1963 in Scituate, MA and moved to Southborough at the age of three where he spent the remainder of his childhood. He lived in Marlborough for many years before settling in Framingham when he found his true love, Zelia Cintras, with whom he lived.
In addition to his soul mate Zelia, he is survived by his parents, Henry and Margaret Valcour of Northbridge; five siblings and their spouses, Henry and Ying Valcour of Upton, Ben and Mary Ellen Valcour of Webster, Daniel and Julie Valcour of Brimfield, Denise and George Tatsis of Grafton, and Eric and Rachel Valcour of Chittendon, VT; 13 nieces and nephews, Victoria, Deanna, Megan, Molly, Nicholas, Daniel, Henry, Sam, Jonah, and Luke Valcour, and Christos, Noelle and CJ Tatsis; and his very special friends who were like family to him, Paulo Reis, Gilmar Cintra, Telne and Karine Juca, and Teresa.
Steve attended Assabet Valley High School in Marlborough and went on to become a Master Electrician. For many years he owned and operated his own business as a residential electrician. He was working for SMOC in Framingham as a staff electrician at the time of his death. A kind, generous soul who loved nature and God's creatures, he will be sadly missed by his family and all who had the good fortune to have called him friend.
Service Details
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 20,
from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton,
with a funeral mass at 11 a.m. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church,
151 Mendon Street, Upton.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
prior to the mass on Thursday.
Following cremation, burial will be in Rural Cemetery in Southborough
at the convenience of the family.
