Sylvia M. (Leslie) Barnes, 87, of Upton, died Friday, August 19, 2016 in Blaire House of Milford after a long illness. Her husband, James E. Barnes, died on August 6th.
Sylvia was born in Framingham, the daughter of the late Ormand and Florence E. (Munro) Leslie. She was a graduate of Holliston High School who also studied nursing at Framingham Union Hospital. She came to Upton from Holliston in 1961.
She leaves four children, Gail Lamendola and Brian Barnes of Providence, RI, James C. Barnes of Hawaii, and Nancy Cornine of Worcester; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
