Carol J. Monroe

Carol J. (Rosol) Monroe, 87, Upton and a former resident at Millhaus Apartments, died on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

She leaves her son, Thomas Monroe and his wife Lisa of Needham, MA, her daughters, Darlene Mason and her husband Steve of Uxbridge, MA and Linda Spink and her husband Richard of Pass Christian, MS; her brother Edward Rosol and wife Mildred of Willis, Texas; her grandchildren Tara Stabile and her husband Greg, Brad Monroe and his wife Jade, Erica Cucino and her husband Greg, Alex DiCrescentis, Chrissy Fairley and her husband Derek, Richard Spink, James Cram and his wife Rebecca, David Cram and his wife Samantha, Jake Bronstein and Andrew Bronstein; 6 great grandchildren, Jackson, Meredith, Mac, Nora, Chevelle, and Jack.  She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Sylvia.

Born in Worcester on July 29, 1935, she was the daughter of Edward and Catherine Rosol (Pasukinis) and grew up in Northbridge, MA.  Carol worked at Tainer Tech, Rogers Foam starting in 1984 where she retired in 2001, and also Unibank for Savings. 

Carol loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren always brought a smile to her face.  She cherished her friends.  She loved to play bingo, mahjong and also read books from her kindle which was never far from her side. She loved sitting at the ocean, and favorite place was George’s of Galilee where she always watched for the ferry to come in as it is named Carol Jean.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 11, in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St. Upton.  Burial will take place privately at a later date with family.

A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10:30 AM prior to her service in the funeral home.
