Edward A. Bigelow

Edward A. Bigelow, 84, of Upton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Medway Country Manor.  He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Sharon E. (Clark) Bigelow.

Born in Framingham, he was a son of the late Aram and Grace (Berry) Bigelow.  He was raised and educated in Upton, MA.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Bigelow was employed as a factory worker at Baystate Abrasives and General Motors.  Over the years he had several businesses in Upon: Upton Citgo, Bigelow Tree, and Upton Curbside.

Ed enjoyed meeting people, working with his children, and spending time on Cape Cod.  He loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Trinity Church, Bolton, MA.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children: Edward “Buddy” Bigelow Jr. of Florida, Joseph Bigelow and his wife Patricia, of Millville, Rebecca Bigelow of San Francisco, CA, and David Bigelow and his wife Jingyi, of Upton; four grandchildren, Cilissa, Lily, Jacob, and Paige; his sister, Myra Bigelow, of Upton; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Baby Milford Bigelow, Elliot Bigelow, Gladys McKinstry, and Caroline Bigelow-Forte.

A private graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery, Upton, will take place with his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
