Obituary

Edwin R. Reed, 91, of Upton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.  He is the beloved husband to the late Joy M. (Baldwin) Reed.

Born in Fair Haven, VT, he was a son of the late Roscoe and Rose (Benson) Reed and was raised and educated in Vermont.

Mr. Reed served as Corporal for the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Prior to retirement, he was employed as a factory worker and security guard at Bay State Abrasives in Westborough.

He enjoyed yard work, cutting trees down, buying TVs, working on new and old cars, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Reed is survived by his children, Robert Reed and his wife Nancy, of Upton, and Catherine Curran and her husband Jim, of Dennis; a brother, Bernard Reed and his wife Lois, of Grafton; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren as well as one more on the way.  He is also survived by his companion Mary Fedorczuk.

He is predeceased by five siblings.

His graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 PM, on Friday, December 2, at Lakeview Cemetery, North Main Street, Upton.
