Jean Marie Gareri

Jean Marie (Negus) Gareri, 87, of Milford and formerly of Upton, passed away peacefully at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester on Friday, October 15, 2021.

Jean was born in Upton to the late Victor E. Negus and the late Dorothy M. (Kearnan) Negus. Jean is the wife of the late Joseph R. Gareri who passed away in 2005. 

Jean retired in 1988 from Wonder Bread/Hostess Co. where she was a secretary for 25 years. After retiring in 1988 she moved to Port Charlotte, FL where she lived for 30 years and worked a part time job till 2017.

She enjoyed her home in Florida and her cottage in Maine. Jean was a avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and was a wonderful cook. She loved to play poker and mahjong with her friends and enjoyed traveling.

Jean was the loving mother of Gerard “Jerry” Gareri of Milford and Karen Lamberson and husband Frank of Framingham and predeceased by her daughter Tracy Ann Gareri. Jean loved spending time with her four grandsons Matthew Lamberson, Joseph Gareri, Johnathan Lamberson and John Gareri. She is the sister of Kathleen Ramsey and Lorraine Winchell both of Upton. And many wonderful nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Arlene Hoell and Nancy Jacques. 

Her graveside service will take place privately at Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.
