Kim Merchant Obituary

Kim Jean (Davio) Merchant, 63, of Whitinsville and formerly of Grafton, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 30, 2023, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Karen (Miner) Davio and was raised and educated in Grafton.  She was a graduate of Grafton High School Class of 1978.

Prior to retirement she was employed at the Grafton Job Corps.

Kim had been a member of the Valley Chapel of Uxbridge for the past few years as well as a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.  She enjoyed music, drawing, skiing, horseback riding, dancing, the outdoors, and most importantly spending time with her family, friends, and beloved dog Pepé.

She is survived by her daughter, Harmoni Clements of Savanah, GA; three grandchildren; her siblings, Denise Davio Brooks of North Grafton, Lisa McGriff and her husband Stan, of North Grafton, Michael Miner and his wife Karen of Charleston, SC, and Laurie Harrington of Whitinsville; many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her best friend Steven Anderson of North Grafton.

She is predeceased by her husband Richard Merchant and a brother, Chester Davio.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 3, in the Valley Chapel, 14 Hunter Road, Uxbridge.  Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Grafton, will take place privately at a later date with her family.
