Nancy J. McDonnell

Nancy Jean Bouthiette McDonnell was born on May 29, 1948 to the late Francis Leo Bouthiette and Elizabeth Shirley Ramsey Bouthiette and called Upton home her entire life. Nancy graduated from Nipmuc Highschool in 1966 and got an associates degree from Dean College in 1992. She later began a career at Waters Corporation, where she worked for over 20 years.

Nancy also spent her time enjoying the beaches of Dennisport, Cape Cod where she and her husband George “Gig” McDonnell had a house. Family members, friends, and neighbors loved to gather on the deck to catch up after a fun day at the beach.

Nancy passed peacefully at home on April 2, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband George “Gig” McDonnell of Upton and two children, Stacie McDonnell Galicki and her husband Jeff of Upton and Patrick McDonnell and his wife Jessey of Northbridge. As well, she leaves behind 6 beloved grandchildren, Samantha “Manny”, Andrew, and Kevin Galicki of Upton and Emma, Sadie, and Cameron McDonnell of Northbridge. As well as her best friend of 55 years Sue Evans and her husband John. She also leaves behind a sister Bonnie Bouthiette and niece Monica Hensel.

Calling hours will be held in Upton at Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton on Friday, April 8th from 4-7pm. A funeral mass at Saint Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton, will be held on Saturday, April 9th at 10am with a celebration of life to follow at Stacie’s house.
