Patricia A. Austin

Patricia “Pat” A. Austin, 78, of Milford and formerly of Westwood, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2022.

Born in Boston and raised in Dedham, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hughena (Donlan) Canavan.  Her siblings, her late sister Jean Garaffo, late brothers; Thomas Canavan and Paul Canavan and her sister, Hughena Canavan, and many nieces and nephews. As well as Molly, her late beloved four-legged family member.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Allington and her husband Stephen of Upton, her grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlyn Allington and her son, Brian Austin, Jr. of Stoughton.

Pat enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family. Pat adored her grandchildren and looked forward to supporting them in their activities.  Pat was an avid shopper.  She could spend countless hours shopping, so much so that she was known for losing track of time.  She loved Cape Cod and spending time at the beach and swimming in the ocean.  Prior to retirement, Pat was employed as a product analyst for Computer Associates for over 25 years. Pat was also a long-time member of the Westwood Women’s Club.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, March 27, in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St. Upton.

Burial will take place privately at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury, at a later date.
