Thomas P. Coen

Thomas P Coen, 71, of Upton, formerly of Hopkinton, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 22, 2021 with his wife, Karen (Wojciak nee Gagnon), at his side. He was predeceased by his wife Lorna (Wood). He showed tremendous strength, courage and determination during his 16 year battle with multiple myeloma. Due to his hard work ethic and diligence, he managed to climb the corporate ladder of success, retiring as the president of a division of Boston Scientific. Due to his passion for life, his generosity and unconditional love for family and friends, he managed to create everlasting bonds with all those fortunate enough to have had him in their lives. In a world that has been turned upside down, he led by example and showed us all, life is what you make of it, make the most of it. He certainly did.

Thomas was born in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late retired Captain Thomas and Edna Coen

He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter Michaela, her husband Michael Bannon and their children Liana, Kenley and Owen; daughter Shayla, her husband Thomas Works and their children Thomas, Hannah, Aria and Calvin; his son Sean; sister Marianne O’Donnell; sister Maureen and her husband Steve Bauer; sister Colleen, and her husband Jan Covington; father-in-law, Alan Wood and his late wife Patricia Wood; brother-in-law Randall and his wife Mary Wood; brother-in-law Bradford Wood; many nieces and nephews; his fraternal brothers from Sigma Tau Gamma, West Chester, PA; and countless friends and business associates

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Friday, April 2, in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, Inc. 45 Main Street, Upton.  Facial coverings and social distancing are required while inside the funeral home and waiting to enter the funeral home.  Please refrain from any physical contact with the family.
