Timothy M. Gomes

Timothy M. Gomes, 38, of Worcester, formerly of Mendon passed away on February 28, 2023. He was the husband of Sarah Zlody.

Born in Boston, he is the son of Mark S. and Caryn L. (Ribero) Gomes of Mendon. He was raised and educated in Mendon and was a 2003 graduate of Nipmuc Regional High School where he played 4 years of varsity soccer. Tim attended Worcester State College, Quinsigamond Community College and various trade schools for his true passion of working with his hands.

Tim was employed at Energy Protectors in Spencer. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and participated in Teaching Tuesday at Serenity Cycles where he learned and taught the ins and outs of motorcycle mechanics while helping those in recovery.

Tim faced every struggle with courage, adversity, strength, and humor. Tim’s battle with cancer was the same. His proudest moment was the birth of his son, Leo. Together, they developed a relationship like no other that will never be replicated.

In addition to his wife, Sarah, and parents, Mark and Caryn Gomes of Mendon, he is survived by his son, Leo M. Gomes, Leo’s mother Lucy Pace of Stoneham MA, one brother, Gregory S. Gomes and his wife Kristen of Millville, one sister, Nicole E. Gomes of Mendon, her boyfriend Anthony Marzocchi of Cumberland RI, one nephew, Grady Gomes, one niece, Kacey Gomes, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Family would like to thank all of those that cared for Tim during his battle, especially all of those that work with the Milford Regional Medical Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton, Ma. on Sunday March 5 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. followed by a brief prayer service with reflections at 3:30 P.M. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Leonardo Gomes.
