Wayne J. Wilkin

Wayne J. Wilkin, 63 of Upton, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the Bear Mountain Rehabilitation Facility in Worcester.  He is the beloved husband to Ellen M. (Sim) Wilkin.

Born in Tewksbury, he was a son of the late Lewis Grassey and Rachel (Brown) Wilkin.  He was raised and educated in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School.  

Prior to retirement, Mr. Wilkin was employed as IT Support for UMass Hospital and previously Staples.

He enjoyed NASCAR, Star Trek, fishing, and spending time with his family. He also loved cracking jokes and could fix any Apple product.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Melissa Wilkin of Somerville, Cassaundra Morin and her husband Chris, of Upton, Nina Wilkin of Lowell, and Ellen Wilkin of Upton; and five grandchildren: Jonathan, Jeremiah, Katelyn, Charlotte, and Caleb. His sister-in-laws: Bettyann Boothe and husband Robert, Paula Cameli and husband Mark, Ann Gubnitsky and husband William, Nina Sim and wife Jennifer Nunes, and the late Kathleen Sim. His brother-in-laws: Frederick Sim, Daniel Sim and wife Linda, and the late Stephen Sim. 

His funeral services will be held privately in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home with his family.
